Countdown to Skyfall - Bond news

An IMDB user, claiming to have been part of a test audience screening for the new Bond movie, made some remarks on a forum on the IMDB - the user Lizze-sandy81 claims that Skyfall, the test screening version, came in just short of three hours and that the pre-credits sequence ran to more than 20 minutes. The user was pleased with the movie and felt that it was going to please Bond fans - the post has now been removed from the IMDB.

The Skyfall premiere looks like being held at the Royal Albert Hall on the 23rd October.

October 5th is to be global James Bond day - A daylong series of events will mark the 50th anniversary of the release of the first James Bond Film, Dr No, in 1962.The programme for Global James Bond Day includes an online live auction charity event organised by Christie’s, in aid of twelve charitable organisations, and a film retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.

A new feature documentary, Everything or Nothing: The Untold Story of 007, will also be released soon to coincide with the celebrations. It traces the work of film producers Albert R. Broccoli and Harry Saltzman, and author Ian Fleming, in making Bond a global franchise.
The event also anticipates the worldwide release of the 23rd Bond adventure, Skyfall, starring Daniel Craig and directed by Sam Mendes.
