JACK THE RIPPER CUTTING UP A STORM ON EBOOK

Think you know all about Jack the Ripper?

Think again, dude!

Inspector Frank Parade carries out his daily duties in the Welsh industrial town of Pontypridd, duties complicated by the unprecedented presence of 500 members of Buffalo Bill Cody’s Wild West Show encamped outside the town, not to mention the thousands attending the show every day. A series of depraved murders quickly makes things even more complicated. Buffalo Bill stands squarely in his path when Parade tries to investigate the likely possibility that one of the hundreds of show members is involved. And soon enough Parade’s own superiors are blocking his inquires, too. Still more deaths occur as Parade sifts through the thin evidence available and finds a trail that may lead to the perpetrator of the most heinous crime of the 19th Century—London’s “Ripper” murders.

Shocking revelations come thick and fast.

The greatest criminal mystery in history is about to be solved by a Welsh copper and an American Legend.

"A unique and plausible twist on the Ripper murders." Mike Taylor, The Metro entertainment section.

The book is out there in eBook format for reading on everything from iPhones to Kindles and pretty much every other medium, including the good old PC screen. There will be a print edition next year but at the moment eBooks are where it's at - eBooks are revolutionising the way we read and challenging the hold of those big publishers who have pretty much had the market to themselves for decades, allowing very little new talent to break through.

Available for instant download from Solstice Publishing at an incredible low price.

From the author of:

Arkansas Smith - "This is by far one of the most entertaining books I have read this year. Jack Martin (aka Gary Dobbs) brings together stereotypical Old West characters, scenes and backdrops and infuses them with a life of their own." Terry James author of The Long Shadows

The Tarnished Star -
"There are a number of dramatic scenes where the characters leap off the page, demanding sympathy and understanding. Plenty of action, a fast pace and a hero in the mould of James Stewart."
Ross Morton author of The $300 Man

And in 2011 - The Ballad of Delta Rose

A word from Gary Dobbs from the Policeman's Lot official press release:

"Whilst researching for A Policeman’s Lot I came across a bizarre link to the final
canonical killing (Note there are officially five killings attributed to the Ripper and
these are known as the canonical five but there are theories that there may have
actually been between 9 and 15 killings.) which placed Mary Kelly, the final victim,
in South Wales in the years before moving to London. Indeed the deeper I researched
the more convinced I became that it wasn’t actually Mary Kelly found dead on that
bed in Spittlefields, Whitechapel but someone else. This forms the basis for A
Policeman’s Lot."

The bulk of the story takes place in Pontypridd, South Wales (which is my own stamping ground.) during the year 1904 and into this mix comes a visit from world famous Buffalo Bill and his Wild West Show. The scene is set for a gruesome series of events that have their origin in London during the autumn of 1888. Light is about to be shone on the darkest period in British criminal history.

Inspector Frank Parade is the man in charge - a copper who is as old school as they come, brutal, tough but fair. A veteran of the second Boar War, a man who has seen much bloodshed and suffering but nothing's ever prepared him for events that will test his very sanity. It's time for justice to be served.

Travel back to a time when law was absolute.
