J D Salinger dies
J D Salinger was a reclusive writer - his masterpiece, The Catcher in the Rye was said to have inspired John Lennon's murder. Indeed his killer (I will not write his name) had a copy with him on the fateful night. Salinger was horrified and sunk even deeper into self imposed exile from humanity.
He was 91 years old.
