It's an encouraging sign for the future that this and at least one other recent debut Black Horse Western are being kept in print. The last Misfit Lil BHW, Misfit Lil Cleans Up -- despite a fine notice from Steve M at Western Fiction Review and modest mention, but no dedicated article, at Black Horse Extra -- is long out of print. The Amazon UK site says: "Currently unavailable – we don't know when or if this item will be back in stock." But the good news for the patient is that Linford will issue a large-print version in October. For those who can't wait for a Lil "fix", please don't forget there's Misfit Lil Cheats the Hangrope, out now in paperback through Lulu. And if you need a purchase option that might be a few dollars/pounds cheaper, I suggest you email trading manager Steve Potter at the expansionary Book Depository. Steve tells me, "I am afraid we do not buy any quantity of stock up front. I will contact Alison at Lulu, though, to see how we might partner with them going forward." Lulu offers discounts of 20% for more than 24 copies. If Steve knows he has potential buyers, I'm sure a solution will be found -- eventually! You will find Steve's email address here:

I'm not sure why you've jumped on this now. Our books and lots of BHWs have been listed on Amazon US for months and as far as I can see the status hasn't changed ie ships in 2 weeks from Amazon.com. Anyway, it's all good news. :-) Have a nice weekend.

You're right about Amazon US listing BHWs, Joanne, so why Gary tells us this now, I don't really know either. Mind you, Amazon US did not always list BHWs, much to the chagrin of our US friends -- writers and readers. A quick check shows me Amazon US is now, for example, listing Hank J. Kirby's Dragonfire Trail (Aug 31) and Misfit Lil Robs the Bank (Sept 30), to name just two upcoming releases.

VAPING IS SAFER THAN BREATHING
